The American Morgan Horse Historic Photo Archive
The AMHA Historic Photo Archive is the result of Jan Hall of Douay Morgan Farm invested hours searching through old 'The Morgan Horse' magazines for our Morgan's ancestors. The project sprouts from humble beginnings: Jan initially took to flipping through old pages of the magazine to research the lineage of her own Morgans, but her project soon outgrew its private purpose. Today, the visually rich collection features a vast selection of Morgan's known for both pedigree as well as beauty.
Most of Jan's research and all of the captions and photos (except the ones noted otherwise) are from historical issues of AMHA's The Morgan Horse magazine. Excepts reach as far back as 1960 and coverage extends into current issues. Original statistics are from the AMHA registry CDs, Volume 1 & 2. The statistics for our more current Morgan horses were updated in June 2008.
With special thanks to Jan Hall, AMHA is pleased to present this innovative section of our website.
To view the photos, go to the Index and click on a name.
This will take you to your selected horse's profile, complete with a photo and all entered additional information.
